Dedicated Air Ambulance

Northern Air operates two King Air 200s for the Alberta Governments Air Ambulance program. These aircraft are situated in Peace River and are on standby 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Fully equipped with the latest technology and medical gear, the aircraft provide medical evacuation and transfer services under the direction of Alberta Heath Services.

A vital part of the emergency medical system, these aircraft can be airborne to anywhere in North America within 30 minutes. The flight crews are highly trained and must meet the stringent Alberta Government experience requirements. We partner with Advanced Paramedic Ltd to provide the medical crew members. Northern Air flies 1,300 to 1,400 patient transfers per year for the provincial government.

Private Air Ambulance

Leveraging our considerable air ambulance experience we also offer chartered patient transportation. We work closely with medical providers to ensure comfortable, and efficient transportation of patients that need specialized care. Our aircraft are equipped with LifePort sleds, AC inverters, and supplemental oxygen.
